Monteverde Cloud Forest, Costa Rica youth hostels - Birdwatcher's Paradise Lodge is located just outside Santa Elena, Monteverde. The host provides free pick up from the bus station in Santa Elena.

Birdwatcher's Paradise Lodge is a new house and offers a kitchen, hot water, chimney, porch and trails right outside the door. This place is a little out-of-the-way. If you have a car, this might be worth it, as it is quiet and tranquil. It is only seven minutes (about 1-km) form Santa Elena.

The opportunity to enjoy nature while residing on three acres of land provides travelers the opportunity to watch for birds, walk on trails and look for a variety of butterflies.
