Flamingo Costa Rica is located north of Tamarindo and is an upscale beach destination with a white-sand beach. Originally, Flamingo's name was Playa Blanca but when the Flamingo Beach Resort was built the name was changed to reflect the resort.

A popular travel destination for sport fishing, Flamingo Costa Rica is frequented by an international clientele. Flamingo is a packaged resort travel destination. There is considerable real estate development throughout the Flamingo area.

  • Flamingo Costa Rica — Resort Flamingo Beach has a beautiful view of the beach. It's a full service resort with a 120 guest rooms, swimming pool, restaurant, tour desk, casino, fitness center, beauty salon, gift shops, dive shop, gaming area, tennis court and room service. High season rates start at US$145/double.

Guanancaste Costa Rica is the flatlands of Costa Rica where the dry tropical forest can be parched by the end of dry season.
