The fishing in Barra del Colorado is considered to be truly world-class and planning a trip to this travel destination could be a trip-of-a-lifetime fishing for many visitors.

  • Day 1: San Jose. Arrive in San Jose and transfer to a hotel or arrange for a lodge in Barra del Colorado to pick you up.
  • Days 2 - 5: Barra del Colorado. Spend two or even three days fishing offshore. The fish here include tarpon, barracuda, mackerel and jack crevalle.
  • Day 6: Tortuguero National Park . Head south to Tortuguero National Park and hire a boat to cruise the canals. The wildlife viewing opportunities are outstanding. The features include turtles, caiman, monkeys, sloths and birds.
  • Day 7: San Jose. Return to San Jose.
