Environment conservation education in Costa Rica is available at a number of institutions.  In fact, environmental preservation and conservation are an important part of Costa Rica's culture, business practices and government policy. As a result, many institutions educate on the subject.

Cerro Dantas Wildlife Refuge is a conservation refuge where the mission is to research, conserve and help preserve the natural resources and environment of the planet. This facility promotes the awareness of environmental protection and uses educational programs, research and investigations to accomplish its mission.

The Cerro Dantas Wildlife Refuge focuses on promoting environmental conservation and protection of rare fauna. The programs offered at this facility include research and education related to ecosystems, endangered species and environmental protection, and global warming.

The Cerro Dantas Wildlife Refuge is a part of the larger Braulio Carrillo National Park. This area occupies over 445 sq. km (170 sq. mi) of land just north of Heredia, Costa Rica. This region of Costa Rica is ecologically rich and diverse and has some of the smaller felines, such as ocelots, which are increasingly threatened.

In addition to educational programs, the Cerro wildlife refuge offers volunteer programs. There are positions open in researching, guiding, maintenance, and education.

La Flor de Paraiso Agroecological Farm

La Flor de Paraiso Agroecological Farm is a nonprofit organic farm located in the town of La Flor. This farm operates a number of educational programs and Spanish language courses, as well as volunteer programs. The farm was established by a group called the Association for the Development of Environmental and Human Consciousness. The association is integrated into the community and embarks on social and environmental programs to assist the local area.

The educational themes are about environmental conservation and community development. And, these themes are integrated into a volunteer program where organic agriculture, reforestation, community outreach, childhood education, and medicinal and herb cultivation are a few of the projects. The profits from these projects are invested in community development initiatives.
