Dominical Costa Rica is a small town located only a few miles south of Jaco on Costa Rica's Central Pacific Coast. Dominical has a long beautiful beach that is well suited to surfing. The area around Dominical is covered in lush tropical jungle. Dominical isn't a hotel package destination. Rather, it's a lovely coastal spot where visitors can explore the coastline and enjoy the jungle.
Baru National Wildlife Refuge is located only a few kilometers from Dominical Costa Rica and offers 3330-hectares (740-acres) of reserve land where visitors can see wildlife..
Baru is notable because it is in the biological corridor called the Path of the Tapir.
Whale Marine National Park is located south of Uvita and occupies the beachfront and ocean. Whales migrate through these waters from December through March, hence the park's name.
From May to November, the Olive Ridley turtle nests on the beaches of this national park.
