There is opportunity to observe a wide variety of birds and wildlife that call Tortuguero home.
  • Day 4-6 La Fortuna / Arenal (3B) A van and boat trip takes the tour group to La Fortuna, in the foothills of the spectacular Arenal Volcano. Soak your tired muscles in some local hot springs, fed directly by the active volcano.

skywalk

Monteverde Cloud Forest is a popular travel destination in Costa Rica. And, for good reason. Monteverde is one of the most ecologically diverse cloud forests in the world.

Not only is the flora diverse, there's a huge range of animals, including some that are on the endangered species list.

Arenal Volcano

Arenal Volcano provides entertainment and nightlife for the people who live in this area. Arenal Volcano became active in 1968 and has been putting on a show ever since then.

Be sure to check out the Arenal Observatory Lodge where you'll get a close-up view of the volcano. The lodge is in the Arenal National Park and is as close as you can get to the volcano.
