Arenal view

The Arenal Volcano area is scenic and charming. It is more spring-like and I can understand why so many ex-pats have chosen this area to retire.

Arenal has a lovely lake and around the lake there are homes, services, and in some places ranches.

You'll note the windmills throughout the area.

Arenal Observatory Lodge

Arenal Observatory Lodge gives travelers a chance to get up close to Arenal Volcano to view the eruptions. The lodge is only a few miles from the summit and the view are excellent.

In addition to an observatory deck to watch Arenal erupt, visitors can spend the night at this lodge. There are a variety of accommodation options.
